PROFILE:
Grid Hurricane has been around in many guises since its launch some 5 years ago. The shoe fits the bill in all its claims with regard to its stability, fit & durability.
The only criticism which has followed throughout its life is that it suits the slightly heavier runner (ie: Men over 12 stones/Women over 10 stones) rather than the lighter weight overpronator. The lighter weight runner tends to feel the shoe has a hard ride. There have been modifications to try to eradicate this, but presently the feedback is the same.
However, the positive feature from this firmer ride is that the midsole tends to breakdown uniformly so there will be no greater injury risk towards the end of its life. Some of its competitors with a softer ride can break down erratically which can heighten the risk of injury. (see Chris' Comment)
